November 26 | Official Opening Day (weather permitting)
Drop the ropes and let the good times roll. We’re kicking off the season with fresh corduroy, high-fives, and first-chair bragging rights.
November 27 | 10th Annual Snowshoe Turkey Shoot
A fun mountain tradition—no actual turkeys are harmed. Great for seasoned shooters or beginners.
November 28 | Turkey Trek 5k presented by Smartwool
Burn off that stuffing with a scenic 5k through the mountains. Costumes encouraged and post-run pie included.
December 6–12 | Kids Ski Free Week
Kids 12 & under ride free with a paying adult all week long.
December 7 | West Virginia Ski Free
WV residents ski free today with a valid State or Government-issued photo ID.
December 19 | Silver Creek Opening Day (weather permitting)
Night skiing returns along with wide-open slopes and the rope tow in Mountaineer Park.
December 20 | Creek Rail Jam
Kick off the Silver Creek season with a rail jam under the lights—style and stoke encouraged.
December 24 | Village Christmas Celebration – The Village
A festive Village celebration featuring holiday music, photos with Santa, cocoa, cookies, and more.
December 26 | Darn Tough Scavenger Hunt
Search the mountain for clues and win Darn Tough Vermont socks.
December 22–31 | Holiday Celebrations
A mountaintop wonderland with holiday crafts, trivia, live music, twinkling lights, and Christmas magic everywhere.
December 31 | New Year’s Eve Parties
Multiple celebrations across the mountain for all ages—ring in 2026 in style.
January 2 | The North Face Scavenger Hunt
Suit up and crack the clues to score gear from The North Face.
January 31–February 1 | SARA (Southern Alpine Racing Association)
Slalom and Giant Slalom gate racing for USSA ski members—tight turns and high speed.
February 2 | Cupp Run Challenge
The iconic Snowshoe giant slalom down Western Territory. Bragging rights guaranteed.
February 7 | W.V. Open Freestyle Comp – Silver Creek Night
A freestyle competition with a cash purse. Features include rails, jumps, and creative terrain.
February 14 | Smith Scavenger Hunt
Solve clues, explore the mountain, and win Smith swag.
February 20 | CROSS Course – Skiercross/Boardercross Course Access
Public access to the Spruce Banked Slalom course prior to USASA races. Coaching not included.
February 21–22 | USASA Boardercross and Skiercross
Head-to-head competitions on the dynamic Spruce Banked Slalom Course.
February 28–March 1 | Darn Tough Banked Slalom
A timed race down a banked slalom course featuring berms, turns, jumps, and rollers on Spruce Run.
March 7–8 | Snowshoe Pride Weekend | College Weekend
Ride all day, vibe all night. Everyone is welcome!
March 13–14 | Spring Fling Music & Pond Skim – Presented by Sierra Nevada & WRV
Live music, cold brews, and the famous pond skim. Costumes and wipeouts encouraged.
March 22 | West Virginia Ski Free Day
WV residents ride free one last time this season with valid ID.
March 22 | Snowshoe Closing Day
Celebrate the season’s end the Snowshoe way—with full hearts and snowy boots.
