THE SHAY INN 
A historic 3-bedroom, 2-bath home (sleeps 8) in the heart of Cass Scenic Railroad State Park. Sleeping arrangements include a queen (BR #1), full (BR #2), full (BR #3), plus sleeper sofas in both the den and living room.
Built in 1911 using timber from the former Cass mill, The Shay Inn reflects the town’s roots as a turn-of-the-century logging community and is named in honor of the old dining car that the current owner's family ran during the early days of Cass's transition from lumber town to tourist destination.
Step outside to the 78-mile Greenbrier River Trail, walk to the Cass Scenic Railroad Depot, or visit the Cass Company Store and its welcoming in-house dining at The Last Run Restaurant, a favorite stop for hearty meals after a day in the mountains.
Nearby highlights include the Green Bank Observatory a 10 minute drive and Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort, just 15 minutes from the property.
No air conditioning, but fans are provided. A classic mountain stay blending history, railroading heritage, and easy access to unforgettable Appalachian scenery and dining.
AMENITIES: Free WiFi, Cable, DVD Player, Washer/Dryer, Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, formal dining and living areas, separate den, Patio, and a Covered Porch.

~ No Pets - Pets found in non-pet properties are forbidden and will result in immediate eviction without refund and incur a $250.00 charge to the credit card on file
~ No Smoking or Vaping.
~ No large gatherings
~ Check in time is after 4:00 PM
~ Check out time is 10:00 AM
~ Mandatory quiet hours between 10 pm and 8 am
~ Minimum age of reservation holder is 25
~ No mailbox access will be granted, no exceptions are made.
~ For homes with a private hot tub, a cleaning fee of $100.00 is charged at the time of booking.
